A New Transportation Paradigm

We are at the beginning of a transportation revolution.  No longer is carbon-free travel a distant dream: it is a reality we can achieve in our lifetime.  Electric vehicles (EVs) with long-range capabilities exist and new EV models are revealed each month.  Battery technology continues to improve at a rapid pace.  Solar energy has become more affordable with falling production costs and rising fossil fuel prices.  The marriage of these technologies – electric vehicles and solar energy – is the next step in creating a future for our children with cleaner air, healthier cities, and a safer world.

The ability to charge electric vehicles from solar power exists.  By combining efficient electric vehicles with solar carport charging stations we can: convert gasoline consumption to renewable energy consumption, reduce green house gas emissions, improve the air quality of our neighborhoods, reduce transportation costs, grow the domestic job market, and decrease dependence on foreign oil.
