  • Ribbon Cutting for Largest Long Island Commercial Solar System

    Yesterday, Piece Management in New Hyde Park held the ribbon cutting ceremony for its new photovoltaic system.  Its 117 kW solar system is the largest commercial solar installation on Long Island.  After extensive research, Piece selected EmPower Solar of Island Park to be their solar integrator.

    EmPower Solar was contracted by Piece Management to install the largest commercial solar system on Long Island.  Rebates from LIPA along with federal and tax incentives helped Piece to invest in the 117 kW system in New Hyde Park.

  • EmPower appears in News 12 Feature

    EmPower is sponsoring the Long Beach Go Green Festival this weekend.  As part of the festival, on Saturday, EmPower's CEO David Schieren will appear in a "Living Green" panel discussion hosted by Alan Colmes, formerly of Hannity & Colmes.  The festival will feature a sand sculpture competition, an appearance by Alexa Ray Joel, and fashion shows.

  • Students Learn the Benefits of Solar

    NewsLI featured EmPower Solar in an article about the Long Beach Catholic Regional School (LBCRS).  Last Fall EmPower installed a 30 kW system at the school and since then has continued to give educational presentations to the students on renewable energy.

  • Long Beach Catholic Regional School Selects EmPower to Install Solar

    EmPower will install a 30 kW photovoltaic system on the Long Beach Catholic Regional School.  The School and the Parish decided to pursue solar for environmental and economic reasons - it is a way to demonstrate a commitment to supporting clean energy and a way to reduce operating costs.

    EmPower will install SunPower PowerGuard panels.  These panels lie flat and require no roof penetrations.  They offer added insulation to the building and are able to withstand high winds and hail.
