E-3 Commons Energy Park
Missouri University of Science & Technology
EmPower was hired to design and construct multiple components of Missouri's "E-3 Commons Energy Park," demonstrating "Energy Environment & Educational" principles.
The park consists of three key elements:
- (1) The Hydrogen Fueling Station used to fuel hydrogen powered vehicles
- (2) The "Transit Depot", a shipping container educational building featuring the use of solar and wind power technologies to power green buildings and the hydrogen electrolysis process
- (3) the EcoCAR Garage used to design and manufacture alternative fuel vehicles
As a Design / Build contractor EmPower coordinated the installation the hydrogen electrolyzer and supporting systems; designed and built the shipping container building and supporting services; and specified, sourced and installed the solar array and vertical axes wind turbine systems.

Testimonials
TMBA is an engineering-driven firm. We were looking for a highly technical installation with a quality of support that would assure us that the system would produce value over an extended period of time. In our opinion, EmPower was the only bidder that really met that requirement.Ted Bier
